10 million separate Morata from Manchester United

Morata is looking forward to a reunion with former boss Jose Mourinho.

Alvaro Morata is very close to signing for Manchester United, but Real Madrid have insisted on the striker’s 90 million price tag after the Red Devils offered 80.

Negotiations between Manchester United and Real Madrid are following their normal course. The striker is hoping that by the end of the week his future is decided, but the Spanish giants are not making things easy.

Madrid have turned down United’s latest 80 million euro bid, conscious that the Red Devils will offer more if they are pushed. Florentino Perez will demand at least 90 million, he has the upper hand in the negotiations.

At this moment in time, the amount of 10 million euros is what’s separating both clubs from reaching an agreement over the Spaniard, who finalised talks over his salary at Old Trafford weeks ago.

It appears Manchester United will ultimately give in to Real Madrid’s expectations, with Jose Mourinho’s side prepared to pay 90 million euros to make Alvaro Morata the most expensive Spanish footballer of all time.
