The General Manager of the club, Rasheed Balogun disclosed this at a press conference on Friday, adding that they retained 16 of their regular players while five players were promoted from the junior team.
He said: “With moderate available resources, we are able to bring out a team that we shall all be proud of in the course of the season. Now, the team is a blend of old, new, young and promising committed players.
“Sixteen old regular players were retained, five were promoted from the junior team and about 14 newly signed from other club sides.
“Apart from the preparations of the team, the management is not relenting in the efforts to have alternative funding, as we are tapping into other available sources of income.
“Soon our replica jersey would be on sale alongside other club merchandise.”
Meanwhile, the Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Barrister Abayomi Oke, has disclosed the approval of Senator Abiola Ajimobi to use the gate takings for the payment of outstanding match bonuses in the year 2016 season.
“You will agree that there is no gainsaying fact that the prevailing economic circumstance is affecting every sphere of life. This has prompted the need to seek credible and alternative survival instincts, which is not leaving out 3SC.”
Also, 3SC Technical Adviser, Coach Fatai Amoo has promised the fans of the team a good outing when they face their opponents from Makurdi, Lobi Stars on Sunday in the opening match of the 2016/17 NPFL season.
3SC who have not won their opening game in the last two seasons, will be seeking their redemption against Lobi this season when the duo face in Match Day 1 clash at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
Amoo added that the Oluyole Warriors will do everything to bag the maximum points on Sunday, saying they are determined to give value for the investment in them by the management of the club.
“There is no room for mistake in Sunday’s match against Lobi Stars because we are fully prepared for the game and our fans should expect a good game from us.
“Our first day match opponents, Lobi Stars, are a good side with quality players who can cause heartache to unsuspecting foes.
“We watched the side in Ijebu Ode during the Gold Cup competition we are going to give a good account of ourselves to emerge victorious at the end of the day,” Amoo said.
In another development, supporters of 3SC organised a prayer session for the players and management of club against the new football season.
