Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC goalkeeper, Nurudeen Mudashir said it took him two days to overcome the trauma of conceding four goals when they hosted Sunshine Stars of Akure in a Match day 28 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game.
The Saraki Boys will today face Rivers United also in Ilorin in a must win game after a 2-4 defeat last Sunday at the hands of the Owena Waves being coach by ex-international, Duke Udi.
The former Kaduna United keeper said it was the first time he had conceded four goals in 45 minutes adding for two days, he could not believe the four-goal nightmare.
“It took me until Tuesday to get over the surprise that happened on Sunday but that is football for you.
“We have put that behind us and we are focused on the game against Rivers United on Sunday [today].
“We are aware we have let our fans down and we must begin to redeem ourselves starting with the Rivers United match in Ilorin,” Mudashir who joined ABS in a mid-season transfer said.
ABS following the defeat joined relegation-haunted teams as they slipped to the 17th position with 35 points from 28 matches.
