Players of Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC, have said they will leave no stone unturned when they face Enyimba today in Ilorin in a match day 14 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) fixture.
“We are disappointed about the result {0-3} in Sagamu against Remo Stars last Sunday but we want to make amend against Enyimba.
“In ABS, we are groomed to grind out results no matter how big the opponent is.
“No doubt Enyimba is a big side but none of us will remember that on Sunday,” one of the players, Chukwuebuka Anaekwe said.
Another ABS player Ibrahim Ahmed, said they are prepared to beat Enyimba on Sunday irrespective of opposition from the two-time African champions.
“We are aware of the threat they pose to us but I believe we are up to the task and we will beat them [Enyimba] by God grace.
“I think every day how to help this great team achieve successes because we operate like one family.
“The boss (Henry Makinwa), has brought a lot of confidence into us, he made us to believe that we can win anywhere if we show better character and mentality,” Ahmed said.
It will be recalled that the Saraki Boys thrashed the People’s Elephant 3-1 in their last meeting in Ilorin in 2013.
