Real Madrid star Isco is facing a massive security worry after his girlfriend Sara Salamo was threatened on Twitter by a man holding a gun.
The Spain international’s form has dipped this season after a promising spell last term when he became a key part of Los Blancos’ star studded line-up.
But the 25-year-old has been off the boil this campaign – with Zinedine Zidane’s side well off the pace in defending their La Liga title, 15 points behind leaders Barcelona with nine games to go.
Real do have a huge Champions League quarter final to come though, against the team they beat in last year’s final: Juventus.
The loved-up couple have become celebrities in their native country, but Sara, 26, has become the target of ire from many Los Blancos fans.
They blame her for leading Isco astray and opening him to a “crazy lifestyle” when he should be living like a monk between games.
After a tweet targeted at her said “your days are numbered”, the Spanish soap actress forwarded the post to Spanish police’s public profile.
Salamo wrote: “Hello police, this man defines misogyny sending me this type of message.”
The Spanish authorities then gave her advice over what to do next, while the original tweeter deleted his post.
