Arsene Wenger has backed Thierry Henry to succeed at Monaco and believes his former striker is a ‘good choice’ for the struggling Ligue 1 side.
Henry has taken on his first head coach position and faces the challenge of rejuvenating the 2017 Ligue 1 champions after a difficult start to this season.
Leonardo Jardim was sacked last week and the club currently placed 18th in the table turned to Henry, who has been serving as Roberto Martinez’s assistant manager for Belgium, to take over the reins.
Monaco have just six points from nine games

“Good choice, he has a lot of credibility,” said Wenger (via Sky Sports).
