The incredible innovations for the Champions League of the future

Revolution in the offing.

A revolution is in the making in the Champions League. Mediapro and BeIN Sports have claimed the rights to both the top continental competition and the Europa League, UEFA’s two star tournaments.

They will exclusively air the next three seasons starting next year: 2018/19, 2019/20 and 2020/21, but the future editions will have many changes.

In Spain, the Tuesday fixture will no longer be broadcasted freely. An unprecendented occurrence in a country where, not long ago, two matches were shown every week.

However, kick-off times will change the most. No longer will games start at 19:46 GMT.

Two group-stage matches will begin at 19:00 and the remaining six will start at 21:00. The days will stay the same: Tuesday and Wednesday.
