Lille coach, Christophe Galtier has hailed the arrival of Nicolas Anelka, who has taken up a position of youth coach at the club.
The former Bolton Wanderers and Real Madrid striker will work with players ranging from 14 years up to the reserve team and Galtier is delighted to have him on board.
There is the possibility the 39-year-old could work with the first-team at some point, but for now he is happy to concentrate on the younger players within the Lille ranks.

“Nicolas is really enthusiastic,” Galtier said. “He wants to stay out of the spotlight and bring some of his striking expertise and know-how to our young players.
“But for the moment he does not want to get involved with the professionals.”
