Written reasons for Manchester City breaches of FA anti-doping rules published this week include giving incorrect address of players and club giving players day off without FA knowledge.
MANCHESTER CITY have fallen foul of FA anti-doping regulations three times in five months – with the first offence happening after the arrival of Pep Guardiola as club boss.
City were charged with breaching the strict ‘whereabouts’ regulation and the FA slapped in a £35,000 fine in February.
Daily Mail report one of the three breaches, was for an incorrect hotel address given to the authorities for German international Ilkay Gundogan who joined form Borussia Dortmund for £21million.
City were also pulled up by the FA for failing to tell the authorities about an extra training session on July 12 – days after the squad reported back for pre-season training.
And in December anti-doping officials were not able to test players because six of them were given the day off with the FA’s knowledge.
City’s defence was the two training ground breaches were ‘administrative errors’ due to a new club management team unfamiliar with the anti-doping procedures.
