SHOOTING Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, on Friday qualified for the next stage of the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL U-15 Promises tournament from the Osogbo centre.
The 3SC starlets at the Osogbo City Stadium pipped Sunshine Stars 1-0 to emerge the group winners with 10 points.

Earlier in the day, Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC of Ilorin defeated Remo Stars 1-0 to also qualify for the next stage of the competition with nine points.
According to the media officer of 3SC Starlets, Tosin Omojola, the competition provided a forum for the youngsters to build their young career in football as he commended the organisers for the noble idea.
“I commend the LMC for introducing this cadet competition, it will greatly help these teenagers in their bid to become professional players.
“Our boys were excited to come out tops in the group and they have promised to continue from where they stopped in the next stage of the competition.
“In fact, not losing a single match during the group stage is also a morale booster for our boys and the coaches have promised to work on all the flaws noticed in Osogbo and address them before we commence the next stage. The support for youth football in Osogbo was massive and having this competition is indeed a plus for Nigerian football,” Omojola told Tribunesport.
