Nigeria are still ranked 51st team in the world.
This was contained in the latest Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) rankings released on Thursday on the official FIFA’s website.
Nigeria with 651 points also remain ninth best team in Africa behind arch rival Ghana, who occupied the eighth position on the continent and 50th position in the world with 659 points.
Tunisia top the African rankings with 915 points while they are placed 23rd best team in the world.
Senegal occupy the second position in Africa and 24th in the world with 875 points, while Egypt are third on the continent and 30th in the world with 814 points.
Morocco placed fourth in Africa and 39th in the world with 748 points as Congo Democratic Republic with 715 points are ranked 43rd in the world and fifth on the continent.
Burkina Faso occupy the sixth position in Africa and 44th in the world with 709 points as Cameroon closely follow with 707 points to occupy the 45th position in the world.
Ghana, Nigeria and Algeria occupy the eighth, ninth and tenth position respectively on the continent.
Algeria with 585 points are ranked 57th in the world, three steps ahead of Cote d’Ivoire who occupy the 61st position with 544 points.
Meanwhile, Germany remain the world’s best with 1602 points.
Brazil follow with 1483 points as reigning European champions, Portugal place third with 1358 points, while Argentina are placed fourth with 1348 points.
Belgium (1325), Spain (1231), Poland (1209), Switzerland (1190), France (1183) and Chile, 1147 points follow in that order.
