Leicester City manager, Claudio Ranieri is still keeping his cards extremely close to his chest as regards the impending arrival of Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi at the club.
Ndidi is expected to sign for Leicester in the first few days of the transfer window for a fee that could rise to £15 million, according to Sky Sports.
The 20-year-old Super Eagles man is yet to be granted a work permit, but it is understood all other details of the deal have been agreed.
Ndidi was part of the Genk side that lost 0-2 to Gent in a Belgian Jupiler Pro League game on December 27.
He confirmed to Belgian media afterwards that the game against Gent was his last for the club.
Ranieri was however not so forthcoming in his press conference on Thursday.
“I don’t know (yet if Ndidi is joining Leicester).
“Let me see him (Ndidi), say, ‘Good morning, welcome,’ and then I tell you (if he will be a Leicester City player or not).
“It’s not my matter (to know if what he requires is a work permit).
“Wait, wait, and then you will enjoy (the story),” he told a British journalist who repeatedly quizzed him on the subject in the press conference.
Ndidi has made 19 league appearances for Genk this season.
