Riyad Mahrez failed to select any of his current teammates at Leicester City for his five-a-side dream team. He did, on the other hand, select Barcelona man Lionel Messi, after Mahrez has been linked with ongoing speculation of a move to the Camp Nou.
Rather controversially, he did select former Foxes midfielder N’Golo Kante as his only defender, who is not particularly liked by Leicester fans after his move to Chelsea. ‘I need someone who will stay. I will say N’Golo because he’s my friend as well. Not a defender, but I know he’s going to stay’, Mahrez said.
In goal, the Algerian selected Gianluigi Buffon, the aforementioned Kante at the back, Zinedine Zidane joining Mahrez in midfield, while Leo Messi would lead the line in his hypothetical team.
