Tottenham Hotspur of England and Borussia Dortmund of Germany are on the trail of Super Eagles and Villarreal of Spain forward, Samuel Chukwueze but the final say lies with the player’s mum, Sporting Tribune can authoritatively report
Both clubs are placing offers worth €70million before the former U-17 World Cup winner.
And the Abia State-born football star, Tribunesport further reliably gathered, is wanted by the two European giants ahead of the 2019/2020 season.
The deal, according to the two UEFA-licenced agents involved (names withheld), is due to the rules and regulations guiding the contract on offer. They said the contract would be rolled over the next 10 years if the former Diamond Academy player agrees to put pen to paper for any of the two clubs.
“Chukwueze also stands the chance of pocketing another €30 million from the image rights from a top kit manufacturing company in Europe or America,” one of the agents told Sporting Tribune.
“Chukwueze’s present form and his ability to take on defenders with his dribble skills and speed are the reasons why Dortmund manager, Lacien Favre, and Mauricio Pochettino of Tottenham are interested in him,” he added.
However, the player’s mother seems to hold the ace that will eventually determine which club he will sign for at the end of the day.
Both agents have continued to mount pressure on Chukwueze’s mum through telephone calls, asking her to help appeal to her son to accept the juicy package tabled before him.
The mother comes into the picture following the player’s suggestion to the agents that they should approach her for approval. Sporting Tribune reliably gathered that Samuel’s mother, who is separated from the player’s father, is based in Aba, Abia State.
