2 Eaglets sign for Swedish club

Nigerian junior internationals, Joel Daniel and Ladan Muhammed have signed for a second tier side Degefors IF of Sweden.

OwngoalNigeria reports that the duo was first spotted by the club scouts when they turned out for Jos-based Gee-Lec Academy in a tournament.

Both Daniel and Muhammed were part of the 2017 Golden Eaglets squad and have signed three year deals, according to their agent Babawo Mohammed.

”Joel and Ladan are part of the reasons why I travelled to Sweden at the end of last year, and it has paid off now for them. Sweden is a nice place for young players to develop,” he said.

”Degefors are an ambitious side despite their status as a second division team, the addition of Ladan and Joel will no doubt help their quest to qualify to play in the first division in the future.”
