Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya has expressed joy in Munyal Simon Kwairanga following her historic performance at the ongoing 8th National Youth Games (NYG) in Asaba, Delta State, where she clinched three gold medals in gymnastics.
Munyal Simon, representing Gombe State at the competition, displayed exceptional skill in the Floor Exercise and Balance Beam, as well as securing the overall All-Around Best title.
Inuwa Yahaya commended Munyal for her talent, noting that her victory has not only brought honour to Gombe State but also showcased the potential of its youth on the national stage.
He noted that with her outstanding performance at the National Youth Games, Munyal has put Gombe State on the national gymnastics map, further proving the immense potential of the state’s athletes.
He added that “we look forward to receiving her to offer the appropriate honour and support she deserves.”
The Governor also praised Munyal’s parents and coaches for their role in nurturing her talent, underlining the importance of guidance and support in her journey to success.
He encouraged other young people across the state to explore their own talents, emphasizing that Munyal’s accomplishment serves as an inspiration to others.
