Former whites winger Darren Huckerby has taken to Twitter to give fans his thoughts on the new Leeds United badge.

Huckerby made 40 Premier League appearances for Leeds between 1991 and 2001. Reacting to today’s revelation coming out of Elland Road, the 41-year-old tweeted:

 Darren Huckerby @hucks6dh6.

Leeds Utd’s new badge is ridiculous, a club with such great history and heritage and that all someone could come up with ?

The club broke the news at around midday, driven by the club’s managing director Angus Kinnear and shows significant changes from the logo which has represented Leeds for nearly 20 years.

Changing badges was always likely to lead to a reaction from supporters and former pro Huckerby didn’t hesitate to get involved.

He added: “Leeds fans are a proud bunch, after a tough few years the club looks like it’s turning the corner then club kicks the fans in the ******** again with a Micky Mouse badge!”
