Super Eagles of Nigeria again dropped one place in the latest FIFA ranking released by the football governing body on Thursday morning.
The Super Eagles were 51st in the world with 651 points in January but are now 52nd with 606 points despite recent performance in the just concluded African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2018 in Morocco but remains 7th in Africa.
Meanwhile Nigeria’s World Cup group opponents, Iceland are the biggest movers, with a total of 1017 points to move up two spots from 20th to 18th while Croatia and Argentina remained in 15th and 4th respectively.
Senegal, DR Congo, CHAN champions Morocco and Egypt make up Africa’s top five, while Cameroon are sixth.
The next FIFA World Ranking will be released on March 15, 2018.
