Falconets of Nigeria on Sunday night defeated South Korea 1-0 in the Group C game at the ongoing 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
Esther Onyenezide scored the only goal of the match in the 82nd minute to qualify her side to the quarterfinals stage of the mundial.
The Falconets will play Canada in their final group match on Wednesday.
