TOTTENHAM manager Mauricio Pochettino says Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld won’t start the north London derby against Arsenal.
Tottenham take on Arsenal in the Premier League at the Emirates this Sunday.
Both sides have injury worries heading into the blockbuster clash.
Kane has been absent since mid-September with an ankle injury he suffered against Sunderland.
He returned to full training this week but when asked whether he could start against Arsene Wenger’s side, Pochettino said: “No.
“Maybe Harry Kane will be available but it’s difficult to play him from the start.”
Belgian defender Alderweireld has been out since picking up a knew injury against West Brom last month.
And when asked the same question, the manager responded by saying: “No. It is difficult.”
Midfielder Mousa Dembele went off in the first half of Spurs’ Champions League defeat to Bayer Leverkusen last night and could also be a doubt.
Arsenal will be hoping full-backs Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs are fit, as well as Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla.
