Nigerian music artist, Adeleke David, popularly known as Davido, has been confirmed as one of the headline performers at the FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on June 10.
FIFA announced the development in a statement released on Tuesday, revealing that Davido will perform alongside Major Lazer, the music project led by Diplo, at the Crypto.com Arena.
The Davido FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert appearance forms part of FIFA’s synchronised entertainment series across the three host nations of the tournament, Canada, Mexico, and the United States. More performers are expected to be announced in the coming days.

“Los Angeles will play host to a high-energy celebration, featuring Diplo’s Major Lazer and Davido, the first artists announced for what promises to be an unforgettable night of music, football and culture,” FIFA said.
According to FIFA, the event will be held at the Crypto.com Arena, with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. PT and the live broadcast beginning at 6:00 p.m. PT.
The concert series is designed to connect fans across the World Cup host countries through simultaneous performances.
In addition to the Los Angeles event, audiences will be able to watch live performances streamed from Mexico City and Toronto.
Speaking about the initiative, Manolo Zubiria said the series aims to unite fans through music and football ahead of the tournament.
“The Countdown Concert series celebrates the passion, unity and cultural connections across three countries and around the world that define the FIFA World Cup 2026,” said Manolo Zubiria.
“Just two days before the opening match in the United States, Los Angeles will put on an unforgettable show featuring top talent in one of the world’s premier entertainment capitals, bringing together music, football and fans in a global celebration as we prepare to welcome the world.”
FIFA also announced that ticket sales opened on June 3 at 10:00 a.m. PST. Fans who cannot attend in person will be able to stream the concert worldwide through FIFA’s digital platforms, including an exclusive livestream on TikTok.
The full concert, along with behind-the-scenes content, will also be available on VuMe Live the following day, giving global audiences additional access to the event.
The Davido FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert performance marks another international appearance for the singer as he continues to expand his presence on global stages through music and entertainment.
