Portugal beat Nigeria 2-1 in an international friendly played on Wednesday night.
Nigeria went into the game looking to test themselves against Cristiano Ronaldo and others, after drawing 2-2 with Poland one week earlier.
The Super Eagles showed early intent, but Portugal controlled key moments in the opening stages.
The breakthrough came for the hosts when Pedro Neto found space inside the box and drilled the ball home to give Portugal the lead.
Nigeria responded before the break, when a strong run from Akor Adams ended with a composed finish that brought the Super Eagles level at half-time.
After the restart, both sides pushed for a decisive goal in a tight contest.
Nigeria held their shape and limited clear chances, while Portugal continued to probe for openings.

With the match heading towards a draw, Francisco Conceicao produced the decisive moment. He cut in from the flank and curled a finish beyond the goalkeeper to restore Portugal’s lead.
Nigeria pushed again in the closing stages but could not find another equaliser.
Portugal will now turn their attention to their 2026 World Cup opener against DR Congo next Wednesday.
The result means Portugal head into the tournament on the back of consecutive wins, while Nigeria are left to reflect on a narrow defeat despite Akor Adams’ equaliser.
