Real Madrid has issued an official statement denying any contact with Michael Olise or his representatives amid transfer speculation linking the Bayern Munich winger to the Spanish club.
The club, through its official website, stated on Saturday that it had not maintained any direct or indirect contact with the player, his entourage, or representatives, contrary to reports circulating in various media outlets.
In the statement, Real Madrid stated, “Given the information that appeared in various media about an alleged interest of our club for the Bayern Munich player Michael Olise, Real Madrid wishes to state that it has not had any direct or indirect contact with the aforementioned footballer, his representatives or people around him.
The club also referenced its relationship with Bayern Munich, adding:
“Both clubs have always maintained a relationship based on trust and mutual respect, which is reflected, among other aspects, in the shared conviction that any eventual interest in a player belonging to the other club must be treated first among the entities themselves, in accordance with the principles of institutional loyalty that have historically presided over the relations between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid,” the statement continued.
Rumours and media speculation
The denial comes days after widespread transfer speculation linking Real Madrid with Olise, fuelled in part by reports from transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. The French winger, formerly of Crystal Palace, joined Bayern Munich last season and has been monitored closely following his performances in Germany.
Despite the official clarification, discussions around a possible move had gained traction across European media and social platforms before the club moved to address the situation directly.
