England were held to a goalless draw by Ghana in their FIFA World Cup Group L meeting on Tuesday, as the Black Stars produced a disciplined defensive display to frustrate Thomas Tuchel’s side in Boston.

The result leaves both teams sharing the points after a match in which England dominated possession but failed to find a breakthrough.

England created the clearer chances, with one of their best opportunities coming when Nico O’Reilly struck the crossbar late on, while Harry Kane was unable to convert the rebound.

Despite sustained pressure and a series of second-half substitutions to increase attacking threat, England could not break down Ghana’s structured back line, with the visitors remaining compact and dangerous on the counter-attack.

Ghana, meanwhile, stayed disciplined throughout, limiting space in key areas and disrupting England’s rhythm, particularly in the final third.

The draw follows England’s opening win over Croatia, while Ghana build on their earlier victory over Panama, leaving the group finely poised heading into the final round of fixtures.
