The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has announced the departure of Team Nigeria from its training camp in Kaduna to Badagry, Lagos State, ahead of the 2026 Zone 3 Beach Volleyball Championship, scheduled to hold from 3rd to 7th July, 2026.
The Federation, after more than two weeks with 16 players undergoing intensive technical, tactical, physical and mental preparations under the supervision of the national coaching crew, eventually picked the final eight-player squad (four males and four females) that will represent Nigeria at the championship.
The male players selected are Peter Ibrahim, Uchenna Augustine Okekearu, Emenike Ezike and Isaac Agwam James, to be coached by Iwerima John and Jonathan David.
Coaches Kayode Ajilore and Amos Felicia will give technical tips to the female team comprising Pamela Bawa, Esther Mbah, Joy Lawrence and Ifechukwu Odoh.
The Federation, through a statement signed by the chairman of its media committee, Godspower Odedede, however, commended all athletes and coaches for their discipline, commitment, resilience and professionalism throughout the camping programme, expressing confidence in the team’s ability to compete successfully and represent the country with distinction.
