2026 World Cup: Full Round of 16 fixtures, dates and venues

The 2026 FIFA World Cup knockout stage is set after a dramatic Round of 32 that featured penalty shootouts, late goals and several high-profile eliminations.

Sixteen teams remain in contention, including co-hosts Mexico, Canada and the United States, as well as traditional football powers Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Portugal and Spain.

The expanded tournament began with 48 teams, with the top two teams from each of the 12 groups qualifying automatically alongside the eight best third-placed teams.

Germany, the Netherlands and Japan were among the notable nations eliminated in the Round of 32.
