ABS FC office burgled

The office of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC of Ilorin was early on Friday morning burgled by yet-to-be identified persons.

The club’s Director of Football, Alloy Chukwuemeka, made the disclosure while speaking with newsmen in Ilorin on Friday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the affected office is located inside the Kwara Stadium Complex, Ilorin.

He said that the club’s Administrative Secretary, Mrs Funmilayo Owolabi called at about 9 a.m. to inform him of the burglary.

“I am very surprised to see that our office was burgled, what are the burglars looking for?”

“We don’t have money to toy around with and if we do, are we going to keep it in the office? The answer is no.”

“We are still assessing what the burglars went away with. My office, our administrative office, Media and Marketing office were broken into.”

“We have noticed that our computer system is missing, a generator is also missing.”

“Other items we discovered missing are keyboard and foot wears. Although we are still assessing the level of damage because we may not know now what documents have been affected?”

“They opened some of the drawers we kept some documents, so we may not know which is missing, at the moment,’’ Chukwuemeka said.

The Secretary, Nigeria Premier League Club Owners, and the Director, ABS FC said the burglars broke into the office through the ceiling.

He explained that they went straight to the administrative secretary’s office, with their foot and fingers prints on the wall.

Chukwuemeka added that the matter has been reported to the police, and that investigation had started, to fish out the burglars.

He said it might be a funny way of distracting the club, but the former Yobe Desert Media Officer said his team was ever focused and would remain so.
