AFCON 2019: Early goals will help ―Onyekuru

Super Eagles new boy and Galatasaray of Turkey striker, Henry Onyekuru has submitted that early goals will help the Eagles on Saturday against their counterparts from Seychelles in a 2019 AFCON qualifier.

Speaking after the team’s first training session today at the Stade Linite, the on loan player to Turkey from Everton of England said that he remains confident the team can get the goals early in the game as it will help the Eagles settle in well during the match.

Eagle’s new boy said “I believe we have a great squad with good players who can get the job done”.

“Scoring early in the game can help us maintain the right attitude and balance needed to get the result we want from the encounter,” Onyekuru told footballlive.

The trio of William Troost-Ekong, Olaoluwa Aina and Arsenal’s Alexander Iwobi have pulled out of the clash due to injuries sustained last weekend in their respective clubs.

The Super Eagles will on Saturday take on Hosts Seychelles in an African Cup of Nations qualifier clash.
