AFCON 2019: Senegal land in semis

Senegal’s Teranga Lions on Wednesday became the first country to qualify for the semi-final of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, following a 1-0 victory over the Squirrels of Benin Republic at the 30 June Stadium, Cairo.

Idrissa Gueye turned out to be the match hero with his 70th minute’s strike off a pass from captain Sadio Mane.

Senegal will face the winner between Madagasacr and Tunisia which is scheduled to take place tomorrow evening in the semi-final on Sunday.
