AFCON 2021: Sadiq, Ekong nail Guinea-Bissau

Almeria striker, Sadiq Umar and Watford defender, Williams Troost-Ekong claimed the maximum three points for Super Eagles against Guinea Bissau in their last group D match.

Sadiq Umar scored in the 56th minute to put Nigeria ahead  before Captain Ekong made it 2-0 in the 75th minute.

Nigeria become the only side at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)  to win all three group games after beating Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau tonight making it 9 points.

Super Eagles will remain in Garoua, Cameroon for knockout stages.
