Indomitable Lions of Cameroon head coach, Rigobert Song says his team is well prepared for the clash with Nigeria.
Song’s side will be up against the Super Eagles in a Round of 16 fixture at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Saturday.
The former champions endured a difficult group stage campaign finishing second behind title holders, Senegal.
The game against Nigeria is expected to be a difficult duel for the Indomitable Lions.
The former defender has however exhibited confidence they will be up for the battle.
“We are no longer in danger. We are well prepared. The match against Nigeria is a risky match. I have reached a point where I no longer calculate anything. We must correct what needs to be corrected. We must do everything possible to win the match against Nigeria,” he said during his interaction with the media on Friday.
“We have to take the Nigeria team seriously. And when we meet a serious team, we are serious too. You have to win to continue in the competition.”
