Ahmed Musa
Nigeria captain, Ahmed Musa and striker Victor Osimhen have expressed optimism that the Super Eagles are ready to fly over the Squirrels of Benin when both countries clash today in Uyo in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia forward, Musa is back in the fold after missing Nigeria’s last two friendlies against Ukraine and Brazil.
“I’m very happy (to be back from injury). Over two months now I’ve not played football but thank God finally I’m back, so I’m happy,” the former Leicester City player said in Uyo after a training session ahead of tomorrow’s game.
“Any time any minute the coach wants me to play, I’m ready and ready to go.

“So I know it’s going to be a very difficult game but we know the task ahead of us, so we will have to do our best to win the game against Benin first,” Musa, 2013 AFCON winner said.
Also, Lille FC striker Osimhen said there is no cause for alarm.
“I am 100 per cent ready,” Osimhen said in an interview he granted the media in Uyo.
“Of course yes, I will try to score goals for the team but I’m not the only striker that can score. We also have Samuel Chukwueze and Samuel Kalu and of course, our captain [Musa] is back, so the confidence in the camp is really high. So, we’re looking forward to the game [against Benin].
