“We are going to accord due respect to opponents, Kano Pillars but will not be seen to be afraid of the side.

“Unarguably, Kano Pillars are the best team in the on-going Ahlan Cup 2017 preseason tournament in Kano.

“We consider it a huge privilege to square up with the side in the semifinal we are sure to come out improved and enriched.

“We will behave quite well and put on our best character and performance in the clash aimed at coming out as winners.

“Right now we see ourselves within a touching distance to the final of the preseason tournament.

“We did not set out to win the top prize of the tournament but our joy will know no bound if we emerge the maiden winners of the tournament at the end of the day.

“We are working on our defence to make it watertight to prevent the opponents from creating havoc at our vital area.

“We are still in the building process so I have always tried to see that the youngsters among us were not carried away by the momentary success.

“I’m happy that the players are quickly adjusting perfecting to my own kind of philosophy of the game.

“We have an average age of 20-year old players, we are young side and that perhaps is the reason they are adjusting speedily.

“We hope to work on the lapses even after the Ahlan Cup tournament to make sure we get it perfectly right before the commencement of the upcoming league season,” said the former Abia Warriors and Niger Tornadoes coach to supersport.com.
