Ahmed Musa’s brace win game for CSKA

Ahmed Musa saved CSKA Moscow from defeat again after the capital outfit battled back from a goal down and scored twice in the second half to overcome Krasnodar 2-1 on game week 27 on Sunday afternoon.

Exactly a week ago, the Leicester City loanee netted a crucial 78th minute equaliser as the Muscovites were forced to a 1-1 draw by Sylvester Igboun’s Ufa.

Yuri Gazinskiy gave the visitors a surprise lead in the 53rd minute before Musa restored parity in the 73rd minute, then put his team ahead with a goal which proved to be the game-winner on 85 minutes.

Musa first struck against today’s opponents on September 2, 2012 and the goal was also a winner for CSKA Moscow.

The 25-year-old has been directly involved in five of the last six goals (3 goals, 2 assists) scored by the Army Men in the Russian Premier League.

Following Sunday’s win, CSKA Moscow have moved to second in the standings with 51 points, while Krasnodar with 47 points are fifth.
