Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan on Wednesday defeated Katsina United, a Nigeria Professional Football League 2-0 in the Aiteo Cup round of 32 matches played at the FIFA Goal Project, Abuja.
Fatai Gbadamosi scored the opening goal for the Oluyole Warriors in the 19th minute in a match the Edith Agoye men proved to be better in every department.
After the opener, the Nigeria National League (NNL) campaigners maintained dominance but could not increase the tally as a few chances that came their way were not utilised.
Striker Ifegwu Ojukwu came on to replace injured Ahmed Rasheed in the second half.
The Oluyole Warriors amid pressure on the NPFL campaigners eventually doubled the lead through Nurudeen Amodu and kept a clean slate till the final whistle.

The victory takes 3SC to 12 games unbeaten run in all competitions this season.
Meanwhile, General Manager of 3SC, Rasheed Balogun, dedicates the victory of his team to the new Oyo State governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.
According to the Media Officer of 3SC, Tosin Omojola, an elated Balogun praised the players and the coaching crew for their gallantry, as he urged them to sustain the tempo.
