In his bid to make Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan make a statement in the forthcoming Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has appointed the former Special Adviser to the Governor on Information, Gbolagade Busari as Executive Chairman of 3SC.
A letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Olalekan Alli, tasks the former sports journalist to use his wealth of experience to turn around the fortune of the club.
According to the letter, the appointment takes immediate effect
While confirming the development, Mrs Ololade Agboola, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports said that the development would go a long way in bringing about positive growth to the club and hoped that the team would do well in the league which gets underway this weekend.
The newly-appointed Executive Chairman, Busari, while speaking with Tribunesport, said he believed that the appointment would add to the success story of the club. He also expressed his desire to work closely with the technical team and players of the club in order to achieve success at the end of the season.
