Akeredolu to tee off Bar and Bench Golf Open tomorrow

Ondo State governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu is expected to tee off the second edition of the Bar and Bench Golf Open tomorrow at the Ibadan Golf Club (IGC).

According to the Captain of IGC, Barrister Idowu Salami said the Presiding Justice, Court of Appeal, Ibadan division, Justice M.B. Dongban-Mensem; second vice president, Nigeria Bar Association, Monday Ubani; Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Oyo State, Mr Seun Abimbola and the Chairman, Nigeria Bar Association, Ibadan Branch, Mr Akeem Agbaje will join Akeredolu in the ceremonial tee off.

Speaking with Tribunesport, Salami said logistics have been put in place to make the two-day event a memorable one.

Lawyers and judges would compete in different categories at the tourney alongside other amateur golfers.

Salami disclosed that the major sponsor of the Open was Akeredolu, a former president of the Nigeria Bar Association, Oyo State chapter, adding that “we also have RwandAir and Air France tickets for the winners of the tournament.”

The tournament scheduled to tee off at 6:30am daily would be rounded off tomorrow from 6:00pm also at the same venue.
