The former Wikki Tourist handler has stated that he would begin his adventure as the Promise Keepers’ tactician when he signs a contract on Wednesday in Uyo.
Abdu Maikaba has revealed that he would sign a two year contract with Akwa United on Wednesday after spending last two seasons with Wikki Tourists.
Maikaba resigned his position as the head coach of the Bauchi Elephants after submitting his technical report for the last Nigeria Professional Football League season.
“I have agreed in principle to join Akwa United. It is a new adventure for me and I am thrilled with the prospect,” Maikaba told Goal.
“I should not be mistaken that I left Wikki with heavy heart but the desire for people to see what we are doing and also to see my game shown live was so strong for me. I will sign a contract on Wednesday and I am hoping that my new adventure will be as fruitful as that of my stay in Bauchi.
“I want to thank the management of Wikki for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to work with so much freedom. I have accepted by new challenge and I am fascinated to work where we have the opportunity to train with world class facilities and also coach in other region besides the north.”
