The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi, has reiterated his vision to see and ensure that Nigerians have access to the best sports education globally.
Alaafin stated this on Thursday last week when he hosted by Professor Tony Edward (Dean) and Professor James Skinner (Director) of Loughborough University London.
The visit was in continuation of Alaafin’s global efforts at monitoring young Nigerians’ involvement in global sports education.
On the Alaafin’s entourage were Prince Akeem Adeyemi, Bob Olukoya Esq, Prince Hammed Ematuwo, Mr Femi Obasan and Ms Nike Shitta-Bey.

Oba Adeyemi met all the academic staff of the university with the mutual commitment to making Loughborough University, London the institution of choice for Nigerian post-graduate students seeking to pursue further education in sports, leadership, entrepreneurship and advanced developmental studies.
He disclosed the establishment of a postgraduate scholarship fund to assist young Nigerians pursue their scholarly dreams.
A follow-up meeting with Nigerian sporting and educational stakeholders is currently being planned to hold in Abuja, Nigeria before the end of the year.
