Alex Iwobi: Alexis Sanchez is a teacher’s pet

ALEX IWOBI says Alexis Sanchez is a bit of a teacher’s pet.

The winger was speaking to Soccer AM about some of his fellow Gunners.

And when asked who was the biggest teacher’s pet of the squad, he replied: “That could be Alexis.

“Alexis is always out early, so I see him talking to the boss. They must have something going on with them.

“Sometimes he does things and the boss is telling him off. It’s like a love-hate relationship, but more time it’s love.”

Wenger’s treatment of Sanchez has come into question recently when the Arsenal boss was accused of playing the forward while he was still injured.

In the past Wenger has said Sanchez is keen to play even when he knows he’s not fully fit.

But denied he’d ever started the Chilean ace against advice from the medical team.

Wenger said: “The suggestions I have forced him to play are wrong, completely wrong.

“He had a bit of tightness in his hamstring, but he was checked before the game. I follow the instructions of the medical staff and the player. After, I make a decision.

“I have never forced anyone to play in my life. I’ve never demanded anyone should be injected to play. If a player is 100%, I make a decision.”
