Anthony Nwakaeme fires Hapoel Be’er Sheva to victory

The 27-year-old continued his impressive run in front of goal as he was on target to help his team secure maximum points

Anthony Nwakaeme scored in Hapoel Be’er Sheva’s 2-0 away win over Hapoel Kfar Saba in the Israeli Premier League on Sunday.

The striker who made his intention to play for Nigereria known following his goalscoring exploit with the Yaakov Turner Toto Stadium outfit in midweek’s Uefa Europa League surprise defeat of Inter 3-2 sealed maximum points for his side three minutes from full time.

Six minutes after the hour mark Maor Buzaglo had given Bachar Barak’s side the lead. The former Petrolul Ploieşti striker then scored his seventh goal – in nine topflight games – to gift his table topping side a win away from home.

Their next game sees them welcome Maccabi Haifa in a midweek Toto Cup encounter.
