ANTONIO Conte hailed the impact of Cesc Fabregas following the Spaniard’s display as a substitute against Everton.
The cultured midfielder came on and delivered a wonderful assist for Willian to wrap up a 3-0 victory at Goodison Park.
Conte labelled the Spaniard as ‘decisive’ in whatever role he deploys him, whether that be from the start or as a creative impact player.
Conte said: ‘I think Cesc is a player in this part of the season is showing to be decisive in every moment.
‘If he starts the game [or if] he came on during the game.
‘Also Willy [Willian], I know very well that it’s not easy for a player who is used to playing every game and to come on during the game.’
Conte is delighted with the impact of his full squad and continued to laud the contribution of players out of the starting team.
‘I must be pleased with them because they are showing me to be great men and fantastic players,’ he added.
The celebrations for Chelsea at Goodison Park appeared to undermine Conte’s usual summation that it is just another game as the Stamford Bridge outfit took a giant leap towards the title.
Tottenham’s victory against Arsenal maintained a four point gap but Conte’s men know time is running out for their London rivals to catch up.
