ANTONIO CONTE has refused to talk up Chelsea’s chances of winning the Premier League despite beating Tottenham.
The Blues made it seven wins on the bounce against their London rivals after coming from behind to win 2-1.
Christian Eriksen gave Spurs the lead in the 11th minute before Pedro and Victor Moses turned the game in Chelsea’s favour.
Conte said: “These games are difficult, it was a tough game with a lot of intensity.
“It’s too early to talk of the title. This league is very tough.
“Tottenham showed in this league there are six or seven teams that can win the title.
“It’s important to continue in this way and improve the confidence.”
The victory ensures Chelsea return to the top of the Premier League table after wins for Manchester City and Liverpool earlier on Saturday.
Next up for the Blues is a tough trip to Pep Guardiola’s side which could go a long way into telling us about Conte’s side.
