Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reveals what he would say to God

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed what he would say to God, should he ever meet the deity.

The Frenchman came over all philosophical ahead of his team’s match with Middlesbrough on Saturday, perhaps inspired by the fact that is his 67th birthday on the day of the game.

On a seven match winning streak, the Gunners will be aiming to continue their charge to the top of the Premier League against Aitor Karanka’s side, but their manager has higher things on his mind.

‘I’ve said if God exists and one day I will go up there, he will ask me, ‘Do you want to come in here?” Wenger told reporters.

‘And he will ask me, ‘What have you done in your life?’ The only answer I have is, ‘I tried to win football games.’

‘And he will certainly say, ‘Is that all you have done?’ And the only answer I will have is, ‘It’s not as easy as it looks.”

Wenger has been making it look easy recently, with important victories against Chelsea and Basel coming in their impressive run.
