Arsenal make club-record bid for Lacazette

The Gunners placed a club-record bid of £44 to secure the signing of Lyon striker Alexander Lacazette.

Alexander Lacazette seems destined to leave Lyon this summer, with a number of teams registering an interest in the France international.

Arsenal had taken the lead in the race for the striker, and have made an offer for the player who could become the most expensive signing in the London club’s history.

Lyon are highly likely to accept the £44 million bid and the player is expected to get on board the move.

Lacazette would likely play up front alongside Sanchez and Ozil, which would see Giroud fall down the pecking order. The Frenchman could seek a way out of the Emirates, possibly across town to West Ham?
