Arsenal new boys Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez train ahead of Southampton clash

September 7, 2016

The Gunners will look to pick up where they left off before the international break against Southampton with the duo expected to feature.

Arsenal new boys Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez are in training ahead of this weekend’s clash with Southampton.

The pair completed their moves to the Emirates as the end of the transfer window approached.

Mustafi arrived in a £35m deal from Valencia while Arsenal pipped Everton to the signing of striker Perez.

Both could make their debuts in this weekend’s visit of the Saints.

Germany international Mustafi is expected to come in for Rob Holding despite an injury scare last week.

The former Everton man went down during the win over Finland but recovered to see out the match.

He was an unused substitute in the World Cup qualifying victory in Norway.

Countryman Mesut Ozil, who played 90 minutes in Oslo, was also in training at London Colney on Wednesday.

Arsenal have four points from their first three games ahead of this weekend’s clash.

Arsene Wenger’s men were beaten at home by Liverpool on the opening weekend before a draw at Leicester and the 3-1 victory at Watford.
