Arsenal star Hector Bellerin speaks out over Barcelona interest

ARSENAL star Hector Bellerin insists he doesn’t want to go back to Barcelona.

Right-back Bellerin left Barca for Arsenal in 2011.

He headed to north London at the same time Cesc Fabregas went the other way to the Nou Camp.

Bellerin has since established himself as a first-team star at Arsenal.

Barcelona have been linked with a swoop to bring him back to the club.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is also a fan of the talented 21-year-old.

But the defender insists he doesn’t want to move and is only thinking about Arsenal.

“If I wanted to play there I would have stayed there,” he told the Evening Standard.

“I was very happy when Arsenal showed interest in me and I decided to come here.

“I’m not looking back, I’m just looking to help Arsenal.”

“It’s nice for a player to know that big teams want you but I’m very happy here.

“I’ve still got three years left on my contract so I’m just focused on playing every single week, improving and hopefully making things happen here at Arsenal.

“I’m not in a rush to extend the contract. I’m happy. I’m comfortable. I want to be here a long time.”

Bellerin missed the midweek win over Ludogorets in the Champions League but is set to return against rivals Tottenham on Sunday.
