Arsenal want to sign Antoine Griezmann -Inside source

ARSENAL are keeping tabs on the possibility of signing Antoine Griezmann.

An inside source has told Starsport the Gunners WILL explore the possibility of signing him if he becomes available.

Arsenal have sat back and watched their rivals snap up the biggest stars over the last few years.

But they are not willing to admit defeat with Griezmann.

Manchester United, City and Chelsea are all keen on bringing Griezmann to the Prem.

Yet Arsenal’s interest in the striker is serious too and they won’t let this one pass them by without a fight.

Arsene Wenger signed Lucas Perez for £17m but he knows his frontline still needs strengthening – whether he’s at the club or not.

Griezmann was the top scorer at Euro 2016 and is valued by Atletico Madrid at £80m.

The 25-year-old parted company with his agents – Grupo Santos – last week and announced he will handle future deals himself, along with his father Alain and trusted aid Eric Olhats.

That – coupled with the fact Diego Simeone is likely to leave at the end of the season – is seen as a sign that Griezmann could be on the way out of the Spanish club.
