Arsenal win big at 2022 London Football Awards

The remarkable performance of Arsenal in the 2022/23 season has been acknowledged through a series of accolades at the London Football Awards.

Mikel Arteta, the team’s manager, was unsurprisingly awarded Manager of the Year, while Martin Odegaard was honoured as the Premier League Player of the Year.

Bukayo Saka, who was a runner-up to Odegaard in the senior category, received the Premier League Young Player of the Year award, edging out teammates William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli, while Aaron Ramsdale was named Goalkeeper of the Year.

The Roundhouse in Camden hosted the annual ceremony on Monday evening, which celebrated the finest footballing talent in the capital.

The Power of Football Award was presented to England’s Lionesses in recognition of their triumphant Euro 2022 campaign, while former West Ham captain and current sporting director Mark Noble was bestowed with an Outstanding Contribution to London Football award.
