Gunners star trawls internet for videos in bid to become better Prem striker after being moved inside by Arsene Wenger
ALEXIS SANCHEZ has revealed the secrets behind becoming one of the Premier League’s leading marksmen – he trawls the internet for videos.
The Arsenal star has been moved inside by manager Arsene Wenger this season after spending most of the time following his 2011 switch from Barcelona out on the wings.
And he has repaid his boss’s faith by bagging six top-flight goals this term.
Only Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku (both 7), Sergio Aguero (8) and Diego Costa (9) have more strikes than the little Chilean.
He said: “I like it as a centre forward because I can get involved in the play more.
“I have the chance to drop deep a little bit more and that means I can link up with my team-mates more.
“[The manager] is the one who decides, he’s the one who changes things around and decides where we play.
“He asked me to play there so I said fine – I looked up some videos on the internet to see how I needed to adjust my movement and I’ve been adapting since then.”
Sanchez, 28, is currently away on international duty with Chile and has been declared fit to play in their World Cup qualifier against Uruguay on Tuesday night despite picking up a hamstring injury.
And he might be on a collision course with Wenger if he decides to take part.
The Frenchman previously said it would be “suicidal” for boss Juan Antonio Pizzi to pick him so soon after his latest injury scare.
